Ladies and Gents, Ladene Clark
If you're going to envy anyone with locs, knitwear designer, Ladene Clark better be the first person that comes to mind! As most of these 'people' posts go, I found this eccentric lady on the pages of my beloved Tumblr dashboard and haven't been able to stop scouring the pages (that Google so kindly linked me to) that gave me even the slightest insight into her life.
If her hair doesn't give you a sense of how unique she is, her style surely will. I can't help but think about Bob Marley and the Wailers from the 70s, not only because of her hair but because of her 70s style; from the sunglasses to the shoes my brain can't help but dig up thoughts of platforms, buttoned down shirts, high waisted flare jeans and the rest.
Enough typing, I'll just let her hair speak for herself.

CLAN
Despite my undeniable love for all things artistic (mainly fashion) I was once lacking in the acknowledgement department regarding my fellow designers. Having the opportunity to work alongside and help these designers anyway I could backstage during fashion shows opened my eyes to see how creative each and every one of them are. I have come to a point in which I am constantly on Twitter, Facebook, even Tumblr catching up with the likes of CLAN, Republic of Foreigner and Jewel By Lisa.
CLAN being my favourite of the bunch primarily because of the youthful spirit that comes with each and every design; from the cut to the models comes a sense of freeness that every woman can embody when wearing their line. The collections are never too crazy to the point that they can only be worn on A-list celebrities.
"We don't want women to say, 'Oh my god, what a spectacular show! It would look so great on that actress.' We want women to find the clothes so beautiful that they want to wear them themselves" spoken by Marc Jacobs. I feel like this is exactly what CLAN takes into consideration when creating a new collection. The line is for any and everyone not just a set of 'important' people under the limelight.
Here are some of my favourite looks worn by the designer herself, Teni Sagoe:

Move Over Cinderella
We all know the story of Cinderella and her slipper: Cinderella is unjustly treated by her stepmom and sisters, and when the prince meets her he falls in love only to have her run off and leave her glass slipper behind; then off goes the prince to get his woman.
In this case, the scene is a little bit different. Think fashion week, think Simone Rocha, think contemporary. Simone Rocha got her dainty models walking down the runway (for SS13) sporting a much needed new take on the prominent glass slipper. The shoes showcase a nice blend between femininity found in the glass heels and masculinity of the overall look.
Cinderella, I think Simone Rocha has got this look covered... go HOME!
