Spring Break

With a 12 hour road trip to Maryland to see the family with a complimentary 4 hour road trip to Valdosta for college visits, I guess you could say our Spring Break was quite the ride. At first I was mad at the fact that I wouldn't be packed in a dome with a bunch of screaming Childish Gambino/Tyler the Creator fans, but eventually I gave up on the whole grumpy teenager act and enjoyed the break.

The other day the family and I took a trip to downtown Valdosta, it was the most serene downtown I've ever been to (not like the hustle and bustle of downtown Silver Spring), with plenty of great spaces to take photos. On this fine day, we decided to sport very lax outfits, for a seemingly lax day.

Spring Flight

Spring brings forth tons of feel-good feelings. The whole world is in bloom and it can have this crazy effect on humans that we too can have new beginnings. There are so many things going on right now and I have a new project I'm working on so I hope to share it with you guys soon; I'm really excited/nervous. I can only speak for myself but I hope that everyone reading this feels as light and airy as I do.

Because I take all my college courses online I haven't had much human interaction (outside family/church) since my family moved to Atlanta last summer, but of course a couple of my friends back in Maryland were oh so thrilled to come visit me for spring break. Between low-priced thrifting and cloud-watching in the fields of Kennesaw Mountain there was tons of Nigerian food that was cooked and consumed, which I realized I missed way too much. If anything this break was nothing short of good laughs and even better company.

Roaring 20's

So as none of you may know, my 20th birthday was yesterday. The night before I had a few jitters, a case of the I-don't-want-to-grow-up-itis. I would've given anything for Peter Pan to whisk me away to Never Never Land, stay with the Lost Boys, and stay 19. After an uplifting rant from a close friend I calmly got myself together and danced it all off. I'm looking forward to nothing but growth from here on out. To celebrate the occasion my family and I went to the very swanky Dave & Busters. It was quite crowded which was more than frustrating but we of course made the best out of it with laughs and smiles and the usual taunts. The love I received from friends and family made me feel extra warm and I couldn't be more thankful for where I am in life and I can't wait to see where 2014 takes me.. more like where I take it! HA!

Little Five Points

After finding out about Little Five Points from a NYLON magazine, it became my goal to visit this seemingly amazing place. Yesterday, I finally got the chance to visit this famous district on the east side of ATL. Little Five Points definitely lived up to my expectations! They had really cute shops and amazing restaurants (I advise you all to go to Front Page News, amazing Lousianian food). Not to mention the amazing music store "Mood Music". I spent about an hour there just vibing with the worker there, it was so calming and inviting (it felt like a second home), and if you love street art then definitely check Little Five Points out, because the street art there is amazing. Nevertheless, here are some photos from the incredible day.

Bad Religion

Let me start off with the fact that I am no longer a heel virgin; Yes I know.. how can you be a fashion blogger and not own a pair of heels? The answer to that is I have two sisters with heels at my disposal, so I've never found the need to own a pair.. but with Homecoming coming up, its only right to dress the part. Here are some photos of the outfits we wore on Sunday to church.
