the society is corrupt
but are we not the society
the society consists
of our friends
our enemies
our family
so is it that our loved ones are corrupt?
are us ourselves corrupt?
we say beautiful is not skinny
all bodies are beautiful
but how should we believe such
when nothing backs it up
nothing keeps that statement standing
is it not us that fight for proclaimed "fit" bodies
is not us that paint our faces to satisfy the public
yet we are the same ones that claim beauty on the outside
is nothing compared to beauty on the inside
we must believe before we must think
we must ponder our thoughts before we speak
but though i say beauty is from within
i know that'll never satisfy my mind
but in my heart i will continue to sing
ugly on the skin
but lovely from within
