Summer Ensembles

Clutch - Daily look // Shorts - BOOHOO // Sandals - Warehouse // Sunglasses - Trend Boutique //
Top - Monki // Kimono - H&M

With just NINE days left till I'm home (Nigeria), I've been searching the racks of both the mall and thrift stores for some Summer essentials... so I put together three ensembles using three different pairs of the main Summer essential... SHORTS. With the scorching heat of Lagos showing no mercy, there is nothing to do but embrace it with shorts of different colours and cuts. Hope you love the looks and feel free to comment below with your go to Summer look/Polyvore.

p.s. despite Spring being long gone, I still plan on sporting some Spring colours

Blurred Lines

Call me late, call me slow, call me whatever you want, but these past fashion weeks, although it definitely disappointed me, I feel that the designers were really creative with their shows. There is a very blurry line, if no line at all between art and fashion, and I feel as if this year they really crossed it, which I love. Designers took risks with the music, models were free with their movements, the fashion shows were a lot more interactive. I've picked two of my favourite shows to share with you guys.

Sunday Morning

"Sunday Sunday Morning and the birds are lovely." I recently came across an artist, NoName Gypsy, and I absolutely love her sound and the flow of her lyrics. Most of my inspiration for the post titles steam from song lyrics and so this one is dedicated to Sunday Morning by NoName Gypsy.

Yesterday Toyin and I felt the urge to take some photos for the blog before we headed off to Church and lucky you guys get to see the face behind the lens, our sister, Hannah.

Hope you all have an amazing week
Zoe xo

Renaissance Girls

This post is long overdue, and for that I apologize. These photos were actually taken a week ago when we went thrift shopping. This is the renaissance of OOTD posts because I know it's been a while since we've put some up.

The honest reason for the title is because I wanted an excuse to use the word 'Renaissance' lol. Also to encourage you readers to check out Oh Land's 'Renaissance Girls' music video. I love her look and the vibe you get from her music, so check it out!

p.s. excuse my edges

Happy Sunday guys

Sunday's Best

Being new to Atlanta and all my family and I decided to go church shopping if you will. We ended up at North Metro Church (NMC), which was actually so much fun. The pastor was so funny and he had props and jokes here and there, I was really into the whole sermon.

After church we decided to go to Olive Garden for some lunch, so here are some random pictures from the day

P.S. I wasn't able to get any pictures of my outfit (my siblings suck) nor Hannah because she can't be normal for the camera or for any one for that matter.

Vacay in Atlanta

... Then she goin' back to CALI (not really)... So I am finally in Atlanta, Georgia. After the 11 hour plane ride, never ending school days and nagging parents I can't help but praise myself as I fully deserve this vacation. You may or may not know I have moved to Atlanta as will Toyin (eeks.. time for a url change!) and so that is why we have been so busy and not found the time to blog, but I assure you those days are over seeing as we have basically settled in. Just wanted to give a great thanks to the faithful followers and we promise to be posting regularly from now on.

P.S. excuse my duckface, as I have not yet mastered my summer pose staple

Nail It!

With school coming to a close, the only thing that seems to be on my mind is SUMMER.
Shopping, getting my hair done, no longer being on nail lockdown (no painted nails in school), and of course adding some new ensembles to the overused and abused closet of mine.

My dad having travelled to Amsterdam this past week, was able to get me a couple magazines for me and this month, the one that caught my eye was Nylon. I loved the Insta Obsession, it got me browsing the likes of @yostazyo @elarica and others. This issue actually got me thinking about my nails and what I'd do with them this summer.

Year after year I carry the same boring long mundane nails to the States until my Grandma takes my sister's and I to get them done, this year (thanks to Nylon) I have some ideas on what to do with my nails.

I checked out @jennahipp and @naominailsnyc on instagram and fell in love, and couldn't help but share some of the amazing insta photos.

F for Flatforms

I didn't even realise that Toyin and I had been so out of touch with this blog for 2 weeks. I assumed she was blogging, and I'm sure she assumed the same. With Summer approaching there has been so much to prepare for, the move to Atlanta (YAY), exams coming up, the Antigone production and so on.. so it has been hard to juggle all that and the blog, but enough of the excuses.

I've spent the last week looking at store after store after store and I find myself wondering off to the shoe department (which I don't normally do) and to be specific, the flatform department.. It is clear that  a pair of flatforms wil be my summer staple this year round. I wanted to share with you some of the flatforms I love, as well as the ones I've been seeing all over different websites/stores. Feel free to share your opinions on them or advise me on stores that sell even better pairs!
